Ultra Low Pressure Regulators
The Equilibar® Precision Back Pressure Regulator offers unparalleled performance in the very-low-pressure region. The device is capable of matching process gas or liquid pressures to that of a pilot reference signal to within approximately 0.01 psi. The regulator can be used to control back pressure down to approximately 0.02 psi. This extraordinary precision makes the Equilibar® uniquely qualified for high precision / low-pressure applications in both laboratory and industrial settings
Both the Equilibar® SC and GS Series back pressure regulators can be configured for very low-pressure applications. Inform us of your desired application pressure range, and your product will be automatically configured with the most appropriate trim.
Extremely tight pressure control may be achieved using a delicate polyethylene diaphragm. Note that flow capacity is limited at the 1 inWC set-point.
To achieve this superior sensitivity, a standard body of the Equilibar is outfitted with a highly sensitive diaphragm suitable for the application. Materials available include PTFE, polyolefin, Buna N, EPDM, and others. Standard bodies come in SS316L, with PTFE and polypropylene also available.
Equilibar’s Series 41 precision low-pressure regulator is specifically engineered for applications requiring accurate pressure control at low pressures, where space is limited and the unit envelope size can not be compromised. With a sensitivity of 0.05″ H20 the Series 41 can be used for instrumentation testing or small tank blanketing applications.
The Equilibar QPV is a high-resolution electronic pressure regulator, providing a regulated output pressure that is proportional to an electrical command signal input. The QPV is available in a wide range of calibrated pressure ranges covering vacuum through 150 psig /10 bar(g). The QPV is available in either 0 -10 VDC or 4-20 mA analogue signal types.
The QPV is a relatively low-flow regulator, making it a great choice when low-flow rates or small volumes require precise pressure control. The QPV is often used to provide the pilot pressure signal to the dome of either an Equilibar® back-pressure regulator or an Equilibar® vacuum regulator. The QPV can then be used to electronically control back-pressure or vacuum pressure in line sizes from 1/8 inch through 4 inch by pilot-operating the appropriately sized regulator.
